My name is Scott B. Husted and I've been a fan of motorsports for most of my life as I was exposed to autoracing at a very early age. I grew up watching stocks, late models, and NASCAR modifieds at the local ovals in upstate New York such as the Chemung Speedrome and Shangri-La, later Tioga County Speedway and now no longer in existence. I watched some of the great modified drivers such as Richie Evans, Jerry Cook, Maynard Troyer, George Kent, Jimmy Spencer, Geoff and Brett Bodine, and many others.

It wasn’t until Watkins Glen re-opened in the 1980s that I was ever really exposed to road course racing. I attended some SCCA regional and national events and watched my first IMSA and Firestone Firehawk Endurance races. These races formed the foundation of my interest in sports car racing. I began following the SCCA Trans-Am series with names like Pruett, Ribbs, and Dallenbach followed by Dorsey Schrader and Tommy Kendall. I eventually became very interested in historic Trans-Am and started reading about the SCCA Can-Am series of the 60’s and 70’s. Although I love historic sports car racing in general, it is the SCCA Trans-Am and Can-Am series from that era that really capture my passion.

Hunting with a camera - I’m a relative newcomer to the world of photography, digital or film, as I've only been shooting for a few years now. I’ve always ‘liked’ cameras and taking photographs, even though I tend to avoid being on the receiving end of a snapshot. I continue to read, study, and practice various photography techniques, in particular those that apply to shooting motorsports. I've always enjoyed looking at photos taken by individuals such as Hal Crocker, Pete Lyons, and Bob Harrington.

Professionally, I am the AVP of Administration for a Credit Union and I have worked at the same institution for over a decade now. I am also President of Husted Enterprises, LLC and teach Finance as an adjunct instructor at a local college. My educational background consists of degrees in Economics and Finance from Radford University in Virginia, and I earned my MBA with a concentration in E-Commerce from DeSales University in Center Valley, Pennsylvania.

I am a member of both the SVRA (Sportscar Vintage Racing Association) and HSR (Historic Sportscar Racing). I am also a member of the NAPP (National Association of Photoshop Professionals).
